Mr Kenneth Lee has been involved in the investigation of the controlled drug industry for over 20 years having served as a Detective officer with Grampian Police and Police Scotland, retiring in 2018 having completed 30 years Service. During the last four years of his Service he was a Detective Sergeant within the Police Scotland Statement of Opinion Unit, providing opinion to Police, COPFS and others regarding drug related matters. Mr Lee has presented expert witness evidence in hundreds of drug related cases from the Sheriff Court to the High Court of Justiciary.

During his Service he was involved in drug enquiries from ‘street’ level to the investigation of Organised Crime Groups. Being a nationally trained Level 1 Surveillance Operative he has worked alongside partner agencies including COPFS, HMRC, NCIS, The Scottish Prison Service and various other investigatory and preventative bodies. Mr Lee is skilled in providing drug advice and education at all levels.

Since 2018, Mr Lee has been employed on a consultancy basis by Nationwide Expert Witness Services Ltd. in a drug related capacity. In June 2022, N.E.WS. Ltd ceased to provide such a service and Mr Lee has since taken over this provision in his expert role with Expert Drug Witness Services Ltd.
